Bath Rugby Supporters’ Club (BRSC) is extremely pleased to announce that homegrown forward and ‘Hall of Fame’ inductee, John Hall is to be their new Club President.
John Hall has a long and very distinguished career and association with Bath Rugby. Peter Hall (John’s father) made 33 appearances for Bath Rugby between 1952-53. Peter Hall was President of Bath Rugby for two years and was also very much involved during its amateur days. Peter Hall’s father-in-law, Harry Vowles, made 236 appearances for Bath Rugby between 1911 – 1926 and was Club Captain in 1923/24.
John Hall is Bath through and through. Born in the city, John played for Bath Rugby and England. He made 277 appearances for Bath Rugby over a 14-year career and captained the Club before retiring from the game and moving into management in 1995. John’s international debut was against Scotland in 1984. He travelled with the 1987 England World Cup team but was injured in training and had to return home before playing a game. His final match for England was also against Scotland in 1994, having gained 21 Caps. John Hall continues to have a close association with the city of Bath, Bath Rugby and Bath Rugby Foundation.
