Bath Rugby vs Gloucester Rugby 07.01.24

Tom de Glanville (1)- After a disorganised period of play in midfield, a mini-break from Miles Reid set up an attack on the left wing. Will Muir pulled in defenders and released de Glanville to score in the corner.

Will Muir- Looking extremely comfortable on the left wing, Muir received the ball from Ollie Lawrence and chipped the ball on, nutmegging the Gloucester defender. He then gathered from his own kick and ran in to score Bath’s second of the afternoon.

Tom de Glanville (2)- An unexpected intercept from Joe Cokanasiga put Bath on the front foot and they quickly regrouped to send the ball across the field. De Glanville danced around defenders and ran into space to extend Bath’s lead.

Bath Rugby vs Racing 92 14.01.24

Thomas du Toit- After patient build-up a few steps short of the line, du Toit added to his impressively long list of tries this season by powering over to score Bath’s first of the match.

Alfie Barbeary- Bath’s second try was a testament to the power or Barbeary, who wriggled and fought his way over the line after picking the ball up at the base of a ruck.

Joe Cokanasiga- A midfield attack looked to have stuttered when the ball stalled with Josh Bayliss. However, a quick clear and impressive long pass from Ben Spencer set up Cokanasiga on the right wing, who ran in to score.

Will Muir- It happened very quickly- a lovely, paused pop pass from Cam Redpath sent Ollie Lawrence into space. He drew in defenders and sent the ball to Muir, to simultaneously send Bath into the lead and score their bonus point.

Stade Toulousain vs Bath Rugby 21.01.24

Beno Obano- An attacking lineout five metres from the try line put Bath in a good position, but it will still rather surprising when Obano burst clear of a rolling maul to score.

Thomas du Toit- It took patience and the intervention of the TMO, but power at the ruck saw du Toit, ably assisted by Niall Annett, barrel over to draw the scores level.

Ollie Lawrence- After a lineout close to the line, the ball came rapidly out and Ben Spencer span it to Lawrence. The England centre rapidly found space, stretched out and put the ball down on the line.

Bristol Bears vs Bath Rugby 27.01.23

Joe Cokanasiga- In the second minute of the match, Finn Russell saw Cokanasiga on the wing and chipped the ball to the right. The winger gathered the ball and did well to keep on the pitch, and then ran in at speed to score.

Tom Dunn- Despite being a man down, Bath set up a powerful rolling maul after a lineout a few metres from the line. After a few seconds of pushing back the Bristol defence, Dunn appeared with the ball and landed over the line.

Tom de Glanville- The first play of the second half was a fruitful one for Bath: Joe Cokanasiga made a break up the right wing from the half way line, and with the help of a linking pass from Finn Russell, de Glanville accepted the ball and sprinted in.

Jaco Coetzee- Patient play at rucks a metre out from the Bristol line was rewarded when Coetzee picked up the ball and was bundled over.

Thomas du Toit- The Springbok prop added to his impressive tally of Bath tries after his forward pack continued to attack the line. Du Toit powered over.

2022-23 Winners

April – May 2023

Harlequins Vs Bath

Max Ojomoh

With five minutes to go and three points between the teams, Ollie Lawrence ran a beautiful diagonal line to carve up the Harlequins defence. He offloaded to Ojomoh, who did well to reach high and gather the ball in the air; he then only had to take a few steps to seal the win for Bath.

Bath v Exeter Chiefs

Cam Redpath

Receiving a quick pass from Ben Spencer, Redpath broke through the defence on the halfway line and scored a wonder try – running an angle and dancing around defenders – to open the scoring for the day.

January 2023

Bath vs Toulon

Ted Hill

Put into space by Cam Redpath, Hill galloped up the field and – in an unexpected move – chipped over the Toulon defence. The French side were unable to gather the ball and a hunting Hill picked the ball up to score a stunning try.

December 2022

Bath v Newcastle Falcons

Ted Hill

Ollie Lawrence created promising field position for Bath as he made a break up field. Newcastle lost a man to the sin bin, and the weakness in defence was exploited by the Bath pack and by Ted Hill, going over in an explosion of mud.

November 2022

Bath v Leicester Tigers

Will Butt

Needing a score to win the game, with mere moments left to play, Matt Gallagher sent a pin sharp kick into the corner to set up an attacking line out. With a lot to do, Gallagher again featured as the ball fizzed out to the opposite wing and Butt somehow scored in the corner to snatch the victory.

October 2022

Bath v Northampton

Miles Reid

Ollie Lawrence got the crowd of their feet with a barnstorming carry and Redpath was equally impressive, spotting a gap with an arced run and putting in Reid for the opener.

September 2022

Bristol v Bath

Ben Spencer

Yet again! A lineout steal on the halfway line provided an attacking opportunity that was gratefully taken by Richard de Carpentier and Beno Obano. Faking a pass to his right, captain Ben Spencer cut through the Bristol defence to score Bath’s first try of the new season.
