Bath Rugby Vs Newcastle Falcons 14.10.23

Alfie Barbeary– Despite a collapsed maul, the ball was quickly recycled. With Newcastle giving away more penalties, Barbeary snaffled the ball and landed over the line for his first try in Bath colours.

Ben Spencer– (1) A Matt Gallagher kick through was taking at a standing start by Joe Cokanasiga, who twisted free of the Newcastle defence and put Ben Spencer into space for his first try of the game.

Cameron Redpath– What would have been a classic Bath forward try was given a flavour of back-play, as Tom Dunn threw into a lineout, gathered the ball and span around; he passed to Redpath to finish the score.

Ben Spencer-(2) Ben Spencer scored his second of the day after a touch of magic from Finn Russell and Alfie Barbeary combined to set the Bath captain up for a lovely run in under the posts.

Ben Spencer– (3) A break from Will Muir opened up play; he chipped through, and the ball bounced nicely for Ben Spencer, who gathered neatly and ran through for his hattrick try.

Will Muir– The winger found himself near the line with both the ball and multiple Newcastle defenders coming his way. But his trademark hitch kick and high degree of power meant he was able to dance through and around the defence to score in the corner.

Saracens Vs Bath Rugby 21.10.23

Tom de Glanville – Finn Russell made a break up to the 22, where he made a beautiful offload while being tackled to Tom de Glanville. The fullback ran up the wing to score Bath’s first try of the match.

Miles Reid– The Bath forward pack proved too strong for the Saracens defence, and Miles Reid surged over the line to score.

Ruaridh McConnochie – Bath captain Ben Spencer spotted Ruaridh McConnochie in space on the wing, and chipped the ball to him. McConnochie ran in to score in the corner.

Thomas du Toit– Tom Dunn threw into a lineout five meters from the line to set up a maul. After a forward-led tussle on the line, Springbok du Toit got over the line to score Bath’s bonus point try.

Bath Rugby Vs Leicester Tigers 28.10.23

Will MuirIn an attacking move that originated on the 22-line, Finn Russell sensed space and chipped the ball to the wing, where it was gathered by Will Muir. The winger ran into score in the corner, slipping and sliding in the torrential rain.

Thomas du ToitThe soaking wet conditions dictated that play remained forward-led for much of the match. Du Toit took Bath into the lead in the second half after a repeated attack on the Leicester line.

VOTED TRY OF THE SEASON

Harlequins Vs Bath

22.04.23

Max Ojomoh

With five minutes to go and three points between the teams, Ollie Lawrence ran a beautiful diagonal line to carve up the Harlequins defence. He offloaded to Ojomoh, who did well to reach high and gather the ball in the air; he then only had to take a few steps to seal the win for Bath.

February-March 2023

Bath v Exeter Chiefs

26.03.23

Cam Redpath

Receiving a quick pass from Ben Spencer, Redpath broke through the defence on the halfway line and scored a wonder try – running an angle and dancing around defenders – to open the scoring for the day.

January 2023

Bath vs Toulon

15.01.23

Ted Hill

Put into space by Cam Redpath, Hill galloped up the field and – in an unexpected move – chipped over the Toulon defence. The French side were unable to gather the ball and a hunting Hill picked the ball up to score a stunning try.

December 2022

Bath v Newcastle Falcons

31.12.22

Ted Hill

Ollie Lawrence created promising field position for Bath as he made a break up field. Newcastle lost a man to the sin bin, and the weakness in defence was exploited by the Bath pack and by Ted Hill, going over in an explosion of mud.

November 2022

Bath v Leicester Tigers

11.11.22

Will Butt

Needing a score to win the game, with mere moments left to play, Matt Gallagher sent a pin sharp kick into the corner to set up an attacking line out. With a lot to do, Gallagher again featured as the ball fizzed out to the opposite wing and Butt somehow scored in the corner to snatch the victory.

October 2022

Bath v Northampton

22.10.22

Miles Reid

Ollie Lawrence got the crowd of their feet with a barnstorming carry and Redpath was equally impressive, spotting a gap with an arced run and putting in Reid for the opener.

September 2022

Bristol v Bath

09.09.22

Ben Spencer

Yet again! A lineout steal on the halfway line provided an attacking opportunity that was gratefully taken by Richard de Carpentier and Beno Obano. Faking a pass to his right, captain Ben Spencer cut through the Bristol defence to score Bath’s first try of the new season.
